Chris Meekins

Chris Meekins joined Raymond James in January 2019 as a Washington healthcare policy analyst, bringing more than 15 years of Washington, D.C., experience to the firm. Meekins previously worked for the Department of Health and Human Services, where he was a deputy assistant secretary focused on preparing for and responding to public health emergencies. Prior to that, he served as a healthcare policy research analyst at FBR & Co. and spent nearly five years as a senior health policy advisor and eventually as chief of staff to a member of the House of Representatives who served on the House Appropriations Committee. Meekins has appeared extensively in media outlets, including CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox Business, CNN, The Washington Post, The New York Times and Barron’s, during his time working in finance and government. He holds a B.A. in political science from Gardner-Webb University.
