Carl Gatenio

Carl Gatenio joined Raymond James in 2019 and serves as managing director and head of the Building Products & Distribution sector. Prior to joining Raymond James, Mr. Gatenio co-lead the execution of mergers and acquisitions for companies in the building products and materials sectors representing leading private equity firms, successful entrepreneurs and Fortune 500 companies for Lincoln International. Mr. Gatenio’s extensive experience includes advising on over 50 sell-side and buy-side transactions, domestic and cross-border, as well as credentials in corporate restructuring, valuation and other strategic advisory engagements. Mr. Gatenio works closely with manufacturers, suppliers and distributors across the building products and materials supply chain. He applies a deep understanding of the industry to help lead his clients to success.
 
Prior to joining Lincoln, Mr. Gatenio worked in the restructuring and quantitative research departments at J.P. Morgan. Previously, he practiced turnaround management at Mesirow Financial and completed an analyst rotational program at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Gatenio earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science from Emory University.
