Don is a managing director and head of the firm’s National Housing Group. Don has been with the firm since 2000, initially with Morgan Keegan in Memphis for approximately 11 years, and since 2011 at the firm’s St. Petersburg corporate headquarters, serving as a senior housing banker responsible for coordinating the structuring and pricing of single-family and multifamily housing bond transactions underwritten by the firm. In addition, he has been involved in several of the firm’s structured product offerings. Prior to joining Raymond James, Don was a municipal bond attorney at Kutak Rock LLP in Atlanta for four years, where he served as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel and special tax counsel on a variety of municipal financings, with specific focus on affordable housing transactions, from which experience he is affectionately referred to as a “recovering attorney.” Don received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dickinson College and a JD/MBA joint-degree from Duke University. He holds Series 7, 50, 53, 63 and 79 securities licenses.
