Chris Spelbring

Chris is a managing director and a member of Raymond James’ National Housing Group. He possesses over 20 years of municipal housing finance experience, joining the firm in November of 2003 after serving five years as a senior investment banker with a nationally recognized municipal financial advisory firm. He provides comprehensive banking services to a diverse client base of state and local housing finance agencies located across the nation. He has served as the senior manager for over $2.5 billion of taxable and tax-exempt municipal housing transactions. His experience also includes participation in the development and the ongoing oversight of Raymond James’ TBA-based “Turnkey” mortgage origination program under which approximately $8 billion of mortgage-backed securities have been purchased from housing finance agencies. Furthermore, he has provided broker/dealer services to housing finance agency clients for TBA and mortgage-backed securities trades totaling in excess of $16.5 billion. Chris earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University and a Master of Business Administration from George Washington University. He holds Series 7, 50, 52, 53, 63 and 79 professional licenses.
