Joe Tait

Joe joined the Raymond James National Housing Group in 2008. Prior to joining Morgan Keegan, Joe was an executive director and senior housing banker with UBS Securities LLC. Joe has worked with over 30 different state HFA and veterans housing issuers in his 32-year career. He has broad experience in single and multifamily bond financings as well as the application of derivative products to housing transactions. His experience ranges from small “stand-alone” MBS-backed bonds and whole-loan, three-tranche structures to large open resolution issues. Joe brings creativity and a results-oriented drive to each HFA he works with. He has pioneered a number of innovative and unique tax approaches for municipal housing and has applied capital markets alternatives to municipal bonds such as the use of the TBA for housing finance agencies. Joe earned his B.Sc. from the State University of New York (Harpur College) where he majored in mathematics and political science. In addition, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
