Monish Thawani

Monish Thawani joined Raymond James in 2022 and currently serves as managing director and head of the Chemicals group for the Diversified Industrials practice. Prior to Raymond James, Mr. Thawani was a managing director in the chemicals group at Evercore, where he led mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and restructuring transactions across a broad set of subsectors, including petrochemicals, intermediates and derivatives, specialty chemicals, advanced materials and functional ingredients. He has worked on behalf of multinational corporations, leading private equity funds and private company clients. Prior to Evercore, Mr. Thawani was on the chemicals team at Barclays Capital. Mr. Thawani received his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
