Thomas Bates

Tom Bates joined Raymond James in 2020 and is a founding member of the Diversified Industrials Investment Banking team in London. Prior to joining Raymond James, Mr. Bates was an analyst with Canaccord Genuity in London, where he also focused on sustainability. Mr. Bates also previously worked for KPMG, where he qualified as a chartered accountant. He has deep sector knowledge and focuses on sustainability themes of energy and resource efficiency, including environmental services, water, energy management, LED lighting and building technologies. Mr. Bates received a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in finance and investment from the University of Leeds.
