Bob joined Raymond James in 2003. He oversees the Kentucky Public Finance group and leads the team’s national USDA Rural Development Finance initiative. From 1989 to 1993, Bob worked for the Commonwealth of Kentucky with the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority as a financial analyst. From 1993 to 2003, he worked for both Hilliard Lyons and Kirkpatrick Pettis as a public finance banker. His practice concentrated on infrastructure finance and general municipal government finance for both individual issuers and statewide lending programs. Funding expertise includes the utilization of tax-exempt and taxable bonds, notes and leases in both fixed and variable rate structures.

As managing director of the USDA Rural Development Finance team, Bob has been instrumental in encouraging combined efforts of the firm to better serve the firm’s rural borrowers. This nationwide financing platform enables dynamic partnerships with the USDA to encourage investment in rural America through intricate public private partnerships (P3). Bob has concentrated on creating and streamlining processes by which eligible municipal and non-profit issuers can easily benefit from USDA’s Rural Development financing programs. He has facilitated the underwriting or placement of over $8 billion of USDA enhanced debt.

Bob received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Kentucky. He is a registered municipal securities representative having the Series 7 (general securities representative license), Series 50 (municipal advisor representative), Series 53 (municipal securities principal license), and Series 63 (uniform securities license).
