Gordon joined Raymond James in April 2012 as a result of the acquisition of Morgan Keegan by Raymond James. He joined Morgan Keegan in 1997 and has been an investment banker specializing in tax-exempt/taxable bond issuance by Georgia cities, counties, hospitals and various authorities for over 45 years. Prior to joining Morgan Keegan, Gordon served in the United States Air Force as a pilot from 1966 to 1971 receiving the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Clusters and a Distinguished Flying Cross during his service in Vietnam. He began his investment banking career with Lex Jolley & Company in 1971, serving as its president from its conversion from a partnership to a corporation in 1972 until the sale of the company to Bank South Securities Corporation in 1990. Gordon served as a managing director of Bank South Securities Corporation from 1990 to 1996. He received his Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is an instrument rated licensed commercial pilot with single, multi engine and turbine ratings. He currently holds Series 7, Series 63, MSRB Series 50 and Series 79 securities licenses and has passed the securities principal’s exam.
