Allen McCannon

Vice President

Allen joined Raymond James in 2019 and has 32 years of experience in public education. He has nine years of experience as superintendent and was named a finalist in 2016 and 2017 for Superintendent of the Year in Georgia. While serving as superintendent of Madison County Schools, he was twice named Citizen of the Year. He also received the GSSA President’s Award for superintendents and was named a Paul Harris Fellow. Additionally, Allen worked for the Thomaston City Schools and Foothills Charter Education High School. He served as the chair for the Charter System Foundation from 2016 to 2018.

Allen graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 1987, where he received his master's and specialist in education. In 2010, he also received his doctorate in educational leadership from Bethel University. Allen has passed the Securities Industry Essentials exam and currently holds the Series 52 professional license.
