Andrew Gitkin is vice chairman of Healthcare Investment Banking at Raymond James. Prior to his current position, he was the co-head of Healthcare Investment Banking. Mr. Gitkin specializes in advising clients in the healthcare and life sciences sectors and has over 25 years of experience with expertise in M&A and capital markets. He has been involved in over 100 transactions and has provided senior-level advisory and capital raising solutions with a specific focus on the biopharmaceutical and medical device industries. Prior to joining Raymond James, Mr. Gitkin was a managing director and head of west coast biotechnology investment banking at Piper Jaffray & Co., and prior to that, he was a senior vice president at Moelis & Company. Mr. Gitkin’s previous experience also include roles as a vice president of Tavistock Life Sciences and leading a biotechnology startup. Mr. Gitkin started his career in New York in the equity research departments of Salomon Smith Barney and UBS. He holds a BBA from Emory University.
