Sonu Johl

Sonu Johl joined Raymond James in August 2020 as managing director and co-head of Exploration & Production Investment Banking in Houston. He has over 20 years of corporate experience and spent the majority of his investment banking career at Citi in their New York, Sydney and Houston regional offices, where he advised on oil and gas transactions across a range of products including corporate mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, initial public offerings, inaugural bond issuances, private placements, acquisition financings, and restructurings. Mr. Johl, a second-generation oilman, graduated with honors from San Jose State University, earning a B.S. in electrical engineering while playing college football. He also holds an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
