University of Washington
Since I accepted a position at the University of Washington’s Office of the University Registrar, I’ve had many opportunities to learn. I’ve managed projects, been a member of project teams, taught myself new technologies and improved my skills in others. And I’ve been able to share my passion for these endeavors through writing the Registrar’s blog and giving a number of presentations on- and off-campus.
Below are a selection of projects that deserve some discussion, in roughly chronological order:
- Online change-of-grade form (coming soon)
- Room Class Schedule Finder
- Bookmarklet for viewing the current page in production or test environments
- Smarter General Catalog browsing
- Academic calendar Web Service
- Decision Support site’s report catalog
- General Catalog and quarterly Time Schedule archive
- Electronic distribution of quarterly Dean’s Letters
- Course Catalog Search
- Registrar’s blog – When I started at the Registrar’s office, I advocated for and successfully established a blog to communicate our office’s efforts. I’ve written every post and tailored each to be understandable for a diverse (and mostly non-technical) audience.
