Raymond James welcomes South Florida advisors collectively managing over $360 million in client assets

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisors Pam Mitchell, CFP®, MBA, and Vijay Baxter to Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm's employee advisor channel – according to Tim Killgoar, Florida regional director for RJA.

Mitchell arrives from UBS, where she managed approximately $230 million in client assets. She leads Mitchell Financial Planning of Raymond James in Naples, Florida and is joined by practice business manager Charissa Konz. The group provides personalized wealth and strategic planning services for its clients, which include business owners, executives and individuals planning for or living in retirement.

Baxter managed over $133 million in client assets at Morgan Stanley, specializing in serving high-net-worth families, executives and business owners, including those in Central and Latin America. Based in Aventura, Florida, he joins Raymond James as head of Vijay Baxter | Raymond James, which offers clients a breadth of services, including investment and portfolio management, business planning and more.

"I'm thrilled to join a firm that is deeply committed to high quality service, not only for the end client, but for its advisors," said Baxter, senior vice president, wealth management. "Raymond James is one of the few institutions making investments necessary to support advisors specializing in a global clientele."

Baxter's financial services career includes 16 years working across wealth management and banking functions. He previously held positions at Wachovia, BankUnited and Bank of America before joining Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor in 2014. Baxter is a graduate of Miami Dade College.

"I was drawn to Raymond James' dedication to supporting financial advisor teams. This, in turn, allows us to provide high levels of support to our clients," said Mitchell, senior vice president, investments. "The independence to run my business in a way that I believe benefits my clients was also a huge draw. I couldn't be happier with the culture across the organization."

Mitchell began and built a 15-year career as a financial advisor at UBS Financial Services. Before becoming an advisor, she was a marketing director and strategic planning consultant for medium-sized companies. Mitchell is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional and earned her bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University and an MBA in finance from Wright State University.

"The addition of Pam and Vijay further strengthens our advisor footprint in South Florida and reinforces our dedication to attracting experienced professionals who align with our values," stated Killgoar. "Raymond James' unwavering commitment to equipping advisors with comprehensive resources and steadfast support while honoring their autonomy to prioritize client needs remains at the core of our recruitment efforts in this critical market and beyond."
